Do you prefer to spend the holidays with family or friends?
This is a loaded question, but vote honestly.
We all come from different situations. That said, are the holidays the time you relish getting together with family that you haven't seen for a while and enjoying the traditional family get-togethers and comaraderie, or would you rather be with friends who are non-judgmental, arguementative, opinionated and less critical?
Considering that this Reckoning was written by The Official Mother of The Reckoner, Reckonbot voted on this one automatically on my behalf to keep me out of trouble. Thanks Reckonbot!
I'm assuming 'holiday' means like Christmas or Thanksgiving. New Year's Eve is a whole different animal.
Before family members started dying or moving out of state, we used to have this great tradition of being with my mother's side of the family on Christmas Eve, and then with my father's side of the family on Christmas day. Great times! But I'm with Sally. Holidays like New Year's Eve, Halloween, or Independence Day aren't necessarily family times.
