Gmail's New Look: Tolerate or Hate?
So there I was, checking into my Gmail as I had countless times before. No thoughts that my whole world was about to be turned upside down.
When, what's this? That annoying button I'd been avoiding at the bottom my screen warning me that a new look was on its way had finally had it's revenge!
And suddenly, I'm in a completely new Gmail. Well, what can I say? I guess, like a shark, if you aren't moving, you're dead in the water.
So, Reckonauts. Love or hate the new Gmail look?
Google seems to be launching a universal and devastatingly effective attempt to en-blanden all of their interfaces. There seems to be a law of conservation of joy going on, as if in order to make festive Google logos for the front page, they need to somehow borrow that joy from all of the other interfaces of Google products.
No need. I'm writing a check to Google for 1,500 joybars right from my personal joy account. Don't cash that check until Wednesday, Google.
I agree with James. Don't love it...don't hate it....didn't need it...
